Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Bentyl 20mg Tablets for IBS?
I've been prescribed Bentyl 20mg Tablets to manage my irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms, specifically the stomach cramps and spasms. The medication is supposed to work by relaxing the muscles in my stomach and intestines, which sounds promising. I've started taking it and so far, I feel a bit dizzy and have some dry skin but nothing too severe. However, I'm a bit worried about the serious side effects listed, like allergic reactions or hallucinations. Has anyone else had any scary experiences with this medication? What should we be aware of while taking Bentyl?

I started taking Bentyl a few weeks ago, and I've had some pretty intense flushing and constipation. It's not fun, but it's manageable. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any other side effects, though.
I've had some pretty wild dreams. Actually, nightmares while taking Bentyl. I'm not sure if it's a side effect but it's a thing that happens.
I just started Bentyl a few days ago, and I've noticed some drowsiness. Nothing too bad, but it's noticeable. I'm hoping it goes away as my body adjusts. I'll keep an eye out for any other side effects, though. Thanks for sharing your concerns
I was on Bentyl for a while, about 5 months but ended up switching to something else for IBS. I had a lot of nerve side effects. I thought it might be a side effect of the Bentyl. I am not sure if that counts as severe but it was definitely an issue that made me want to stop taking it.
