Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Betoptic-S 0.25% eye drops?
I've been prescribed Betoptic-S 0.25% Ophth Susp 15ml for glaucoma, but the list of possible side effects is quite scary. I've heard that some people experience skin discoloration or even muscle weakness. I'm wondering if anyone here has had any serious issues with this medication or if the side effects are as rare as they seem. I had a really mild reaction before, but I wonder if I should stick with this or ask my doctor for something else.

Betoptic-S has been a game-changer for me. I had tried other medications, but nothing worked as well. I did have some eye irritation at first, but it went away after a week or so. I had to make sure I was applying it correctly and used clean hands for each application. The dropper was a bit tricky at first, but it got easier with time. My doctor said it was common at first and I wasn’t alone. My main concern was still the serious side effects, but I was given a plan if any came about.
I switched to Betoptic-S and felt a difference in my eye pressure almost immediately. I did get some short-term pain after use, but it was nothing compared to the relief I felt from the pressure dropping for the first time in years. I'm glad I made that switch.
I've been using Betoptic-S for a few months now, and I haven't experienced any serious side effects. I did have some mild stinging after I put the drops in, but that went away pretty quickly. Hopefully, you won't have any issues either!
If you're really worried, talk to your doctor about other options. There are other medications out there that might work for you.
