Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Brimonidine 0.2% Ophthalmic Solution for eye pressure management?
I've been using Brimonidine 0.2% Ophthalmic Solution for a few weeks now to manage high eye pressure, and it's been effective so far. However, I've been a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions and severe eye irritation. I've read that these are rare, but it's always scary to think about. Has anyone else had any bad experiences with this medication? I've been getting some minor burning sensations after using the drops, but I'm not sure if that's something to be concerned about. I've heard from my doctor that the burning sensation is normal and should subside. Still would like to hear about the experiences of others who have used this medication.

I switched to Brimonidine after my previous eye drop gave me a constant feeling of something being in my eye. The change was a godsend. I didn't see you could have Burning or stinging sensations as side effects and now I'm pretty sure I've been experiencing them without noticing. I wish I had read the side effects list carefully.
It's funny how these side effects are different for everyone. My friend uses them and keeps complaining about the burning sensations. Another friend has no problems but I think the burning sensation is normal and the burning is part of the treatment.
I've been using Brimonidine for a while now and haven't had any major issues. The burning sensation is normal and should go away after a few uses. I had some eyelid swelling at first, but it went away on its own. Stick with it and keep an eye out for any severe symptoms.
I wish the doctor had told me about the headaches. I've been getting them pretty frequently since I started using Brimonidine. I'll have to call and ask if there's anything I can do about it.
My grandmother uses these drops and she's had no problems at all. Her eye pressure is well managed, and she hasn't complained of any side effects. I think it’s a safe bet if you don't have an allergic reaction.
