I've recently been prescribed Caldolor 800mg/8ml Inj for severe pain and fever. The side effects list is pretty long and scary. Has anyone here had experience with this medication? Did you experience any of the urgent side effects? How did you manage them? I'm particularly worried about the risk of kidney problems and severe skin reactions. Any advice or shared experiences would be much appreciated!

I've had Caldolor a few times and managed fine. But my doctor said to watch for the really bad stuff, urinate regularly.

I had to stop taking it because it gave me the worst stomachaches. But I was also pretty sick from my fever, so it might have been that.

I was on Caldolor for a while and did experience some urinary issues. Made sure to drink plenty of water as my doctor advised. Also, avoided alcohol and made sure I kept an eye on my blood pressure. I'm no expert, but I think it's really important to stay in contact with your doctor throughout treatment.

This stuff is no joke. I had a friend who ended up with a really bad rash and swelling in her mouth and throat. Scary stuff. She needed a different pain management plan from her doctor. Listen to your body, and if something feels off, get checked out ASAP.

Yikes, this makes me think twice about taking it. I wonder how it compares to oral ibuprofen?

Honestly, the list of side effects is terrifying. I wish there was a safer alternative for severe pain and fever.

I was on this for a few weeks and didn't have any major issues, but I did get some weird rashes. I freaked out and thought it was Stevens-Johnson syndrome, but my doctor said it was just a mild skin irritation. Still scary, though. Definitely keep an eye on any skin changes.

My sister was treated with this in the ER for a bad bout of kidney stones. She complained that her skin itched a lot. So, it worked for the pain, but the itchy skin was a pain too.
