I was prescribed Ceftriaxone 1gm And Dextrose Inj 1 Vial for a severe urinary tract infection. Feeling dizzy after the injection is normal for this drug I looked it up. But I have not had any of the warning signs.
I got some kind of weird taste in my mouth after my first dose. It wasn't severe, but it was definitely strange. Went away after a few hours though.
I had some kidney issues due to the Ceftriaxone. I was hospitalized for a couple of days. It was scary, but I was lucky - I recovered and my kidneys are fine now. Paid attention to these side effects and saw a specialist
I had some minor irritation at the injection site. Applying a warm compress helped a lot. Also, make sure the healthcare provider giving you the shot is experienced. It makes a big difference.
