I've recently been prescribed Citalopram 10mg/5ml Solution to manage my depression. I've heard it can be a helpful medication, but the list of possible side effects is quite long and a bit scary. Has anyone had experience with this medication? I'm particularly concerned about the more severe side effects, like serotonin syndrome and low sodium levels. My doctor reassured me that these are rare, but I'm still a bit anxious. Has anyone else found it to be effective? And if so, did you experience any of these side effects? A bit of reassurance and some real-life experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been on Citalopram for years, and it’s been a lifesaver. I had some sexual side effects at first, but they went away. Just listen to your body and talk to your doctor if anything feels off. Trust me, you'll be okay.

I had a horrible reaction to Citalopram. It was so bad that my doctor took me off of it. I developed low sodium levels, and it was really scary. Everyone is different, so just be cautious and pay attention to how your body reacts. Hopefully, you won’t have the same experience. Stay positive and be safe

Just take it one day at a time. You’ve got support here, and your doctor is there to help. Hang in there, you’re stronger than you think.

I know it’s tough, but try to stay hopeful. Meds can be a bit of a journey, but they can also be really helpful. You’ll figure it out. I have faith in you.

I think the side effects can be kind of scary, but I haven't had any major issues. Just be aware and stay in touch with your doctor. They will help you through it. It might be hard but it will get better.
