I had to stop taking Crestor because I developed severe muscle pain and tenderness, and it was scary. If you experience any of these symptoms, do not wait. Talk to your doctor immediately. Someone else on this thread mentioned it could lead to kidney problems . I wish I'd known that beforehand—it was terrifying. I switched to a different statin and have been fine ever since.
I've heard some people say that taking CoQ10 supplements can help with muscle pain? What's the deal with that? Is it true?

I've been on Crestor for years. I do have the occasional muscle soreness but taking a couple of days off helps. The benefits outweigh the minor side effects in my book.
