Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Dexilant 30mg?
I was prescribed Dexilant 30mg (formerly Kapidex) to treat my heartburn and acid reflux. The medication has been helpful, but I am worried about the potential severe side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication and experienced any of the serious side effects like allergic reactions, electrolyte problems, or kidney issues? The list of severe side effects is quite frightening, and I am looking for some reassurance or tips on managing these concerns. If so, how did you navigate them?

I've heard horror stories about kidney problems and had some personal experience that's not nice. I think it's worth having regular check-ups just to be safe.
I had no idea PPIs could cause such serious side effects. I'll be sure to keep a close eye on my health if I ever need to take one. Thanks for sharing your experiences, guys!
I've been taking Dexilant for months and haven't had any serious issues. Just the occasional headache, but nothing too concerning. I'd say give it a fair shot and monitor your symptoms closely. You got this!
I had some rough times with severe diarrhea and stomach pain. Turns out it was due to my diet. I changed my food habits and it's been fine. So it's not always the drug, sometimes it's our own habits that need changing.
I've had some kidney issues, but my doctor said it might not be related to the Dexilant. Just keep a close eye on your urine and any unusual symptoms. If you notice any changes, definitely check with your doctor.
I was worried about the electrolyte problems, so I started taking a multivitamin and eating lots of potassium-rich foods. Haven't had any issues so far. Not sure if it's the vitamins or just luck, but fingers crossed!
I had a really bad reaction to Dexilant. I ended up with severe hives and had to go to the ER. I switched to a different PPI and it's been much better. This drug can be a bit hit or miss, so it's unfortunately an option but not my first one!
I've had some allergic reactions in the past, so I'm always a bit nervous taking new medications. I started Dexilant and had a weird rash. Turns out it was an allergic reaction. I'm off Dexilant now and feeling better.
I switched from Prevacid to Dexilant and it's night and day. No more heartburn, no more side effects. I think it's worth the risk for the relief I get. Just be cautious and keep an eye out for any strange symptoms.
