I've been prescribed Doxycycline Mono 40mg Drcapsules for my rosacea and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The doctor assured me that at this low dose, it mainly reduces inflammation, but the list of possible side effects is quite long. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like, if you don't mind sharing? I'm particularly concerned about the rare but severe side effects. I've read that some people have experienced liver problems, severe dizziness, and even raised pressure in the brain. How common are these issues, and how do they typically manifest? Additionally, I've heard that diarrhea can be a sign of C. diff-associated diarrhea, which sounds scary. How do you manage this risk? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was on Doxycycline for a while, and I think my experience was pretty typical. I had some mild stomach issues at the start, but they went away after a week or so. Make sure you take it with food to help with that. Just be aware of the more serious symptoms, and you should be fine. I never had any issues with severe side effects, but I did make sure to follow up regularly with my dermatologist.

If you experience any abnormal symptoms take every detail to your doctor. Don't ignore anything. I did and ended up with some scary blood work results. Now I know better.

I've heard that some people have had issues with raised pressure in the brain, which can cause headaches and vision problems. If you start experiencing any of these symptoms, definitely get checked out right away. The dermatologist should have given you a contact if you experience really severe symptoms.

Doxycycline is great for rosacea, but it's important to be proactive about your health while taking it. Talk to your doctor regularly and be honest about any side effects, no matter how minor they seem.

have you thought about keeping a journal while taking this medication? You can track your skin condition and any side effects, which will be helpful for future visits to the dermatologist.
