I've been prescribed Drospirenone-Ethinyl 3-0.03mg T 28s for birth control, and it's primarily to prevent ovulation and reduce acne. I've heard it can have some serious side effects, like high blood pressure and liver problems and I just want to know if anyone else has had a similar experience. I'm considering switching birth control but I do appreciate the acne benefits.

I took this for a few months and I had to switch because of severe headaches. It was awful. I ended up with a bunch of other minor side effects too, like bloating and spotting. So I tried Yaz. I started with more serious complications so I discontinued as soon as I could. Extreme cramps and bleeding got the better of me.

Another friend of mine got really bad mood swings and depression. She had to stop taking it. I've never tried it myself, but I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

I tried this one for a month and then switched to a lower dose. I still got the same results as the info above. Bloating, headaches, and unexpected menstrual changes, but I was really pleased with the acne benefits. I switched to a different type of birth control because I didn't want to deal with the cramps and bleeding.

I had no side effects, but I experienced a lot of spotting and it was annoying. I think I am more sensitive to hormones, but I couldn't stand the way the pill affected my cycle.
