Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Elestat 0.05% Eye Drops? I'm thinking of using them for my allergies.
I've been struggling with itchy eyes due to allergies, and my doctor recommended Elestat 0.05% Ophth Solution. It's supposed to help by blocking histamine and stabilizing cells that release it. However, I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. I've read that rare but serious reactions can occur, like allergic reactions or changes in eyesight. Has anyone here used this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Did you face any of the common side effects like burning sensation or excessive tearing? How did you handle them? Also, any tips on how to use these drops effectively would be appreciated!

I've had a common cold symptoms since I started using these drops. It's not too bad, but it's annoying. I wish they would stop eventually.
I think it's important to note that everyone's body reacts differently to medication. While some people might have severe reactions, others might not experience any side effects at all. Always consult with your doctor before starting any new medication.
I've been using generic versions of this stuff for a while now, it is fine so far.
Why do they make the solution so small? I feel like I have to use a whole bottle in a month even though I don't have allergies that bad.
The FDA site has a lot of info about this kind of stuff, but it's so dry. I feel your pain, OP. Just hope that those side effects never happen to you.
My doctor told me to use these drops regularly, even when my eyes don't feel itchy. I did and it is helping me a lot!
I've had the burning sensation, and it was bad, but it stopped after a few drops. I think eye drops are a 1:0 for everyone. No one can truly get relief from allergies, it seems.
I had a bad reaction to these drops. Got a rash and my eyes started swelling up. Had to stop using them immediately and switch to another medication. Be careful, folks!
I've been using Elestat for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my allergies. No severe side effects here, just a bit of initial burning, which went away quickly. I feel like I've got my life back
