I've been prescribed Follistim AQ to help with fertility treatments. I've read about some serious side effects and was wondering if anyone has had to deal with any of them. Specifically, I'm worried about ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and blood clots. Has anyone had to navigate these issues? How did your doctor handle them? Any tips on managing injection site irritation? I want to be prepared for anything that might come up.

I was surprised to get acne breakouts from this. I've never had acne in my adult life.

I had to deal with pelvic pain, which was rough. My doctor adjusted my doses and I took it slow.

I had a bit of injection site irritation at first, but it went away after a few days. Just make sure to rotate the injection sites.

If you're feeling really anxious, there are support groups online where people share their stories. Hearing others go through the same struggles can make you feel less alone.

OWS and blood clots are serious and I had to seek immediate help. I developed shortness of breath and chest pain after taking Follistim, and it turned out to be a blood clot. A friend suggested to keep a journal of symptoms so you can track if something seems wrong.

I've been on Follistim for a while and I've had a few bouts of headaches, but nothing too serious. Just stay hydrated and rest as much as you can.

I feel like the side effects are manageable if you're prepared. Just take it one step at a time and listen to your body.

Follistim AQ was a game-changer for me. I had a rough start but once I got over the initial hurdles, it was worth it. If you're experiencing discomfort, my advice is to be patient and persistent. I think you can manage this.

My doctor monitored me closely for OHSS, and thankfully I didn't develop it. I had some abdominal discomfort but it was manageable. The key is good communication with your doctor. Call your doctor with any strange symptom, such as bloating, upset stomach, or weight gain.
