Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Glimepiride 1mg Tablets? It's used for my Type II diabetes but worried about rare complications
I've been prescribed Glimepiride 1mg Tablets to help manage my type 2 diabetes. It's supposed to help my body produce more insulin and lower my blood sugar. I take it once a day with my first main meal. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced any unusual or severe side effects, particularly the ones listed as 'urgent' in the drug pamphlet. These include allergic reactions, extreme low blood sugar, and severe skin issues. I'd love to hear your experiences and any tips for managing them while on this medication. Also, any advice on how to deal with the more common side effects like headache, fatigue and flu-like symptoms would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've been on it for years and never had any issues. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions closely.
I had a bad reaction to it. I've had sever skin issues. Had to switch to another medicine. Really scary!
I've been really lucky. Some people on here have some scary things to say. I do feel good on this meds. Praying for those with issues.
I've had no issues so far, but I make sure to eat a healthy breakfast with my meds. Maybe that helps?
I switched to metformin and it's been great. Maybe you should consider it if you can't manage these side effects.
I've been on Glimepiride for a few months now and haven't experienced any severe side effects. Just occasional mild headaches. Make sure you monitor your blood sugar levels regularly!
I heard that some people get really bad low blood sugar. Be careful, and always carry some glucose tablets with you. Just in case.
I had dizziness and felt so weak. I ended up fixing it by adjusting my diet and the time I take the medication. One of the more severe problems was sweating and headaches. I found that taking it with a bigger meal helped a lot. Good luck, buddy!
I got bad flu-like symptoms and my doc switched me to something else. It was awful, but glad I listened to my body.
