I've been using Hydrocortisone 2.5% Ointment for a few weeks now to treat my eczema, and while it's helped with the inflammation and itching, I've been experiencing some burning and stinging sensations. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences and if these side effects are worth mentioning to my doctor. I'm also curious about the more severe side effects listed on the FDA website. Have any of you experienced weight changes, skin thinning, or anxiety about the potential side effects? I'm hoping someone can share their experiences and any tips they might have for managing side effects.

I've had really good luck with it, though the tininess and tingling sensations are a bit annoying.

I had some minor burning, but nothing too bad. Just make sure to use it sparingly and keep an eye out for any severe reactions. Consult your doctor if you notice changes in skin texture.

I'm on day 3 and already experiencing skin dryness. Is that normal? I’m hoping it's a short-term thing and not a sign of a long-term issue.

I've used a lot of creams and this one is one of the best for me. I have to be careful with how and when I use it to avoid the side effects. Applying it at bedtime and washing it off in the morning is a good technique.

I've used hydrocortisone ointment for years and have mostly had great experiences, but I did some research on those side effects. The changes in vision and severe headaches are pretty rare, but it's still good to be aware.

Don't worry, it's not just you. The burning can be pretty annoying but try to avoid scratching the area. That can exacerbate the problem. Also, make sure to use a light moisturizer to balance out the dryness.
