I've been prescribed Isopto Carpine 10% 15ml for high eye pressure, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The list is quite long, and some of them seem really serious. Has anyone else used this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. I'm especially curious about how to recognize if you're being affected by the urgent side effects, and if that can be life-threatening, I'd rather know so I can decide to avoid it. And if anyone has information on how this drug compares to other ones in its class, that would be helpful too! I've been putting off starting my treatment because I'm not sure if I'm in the right direction. Any advice would be appreciated

I had some blurred vision at first, but it went away after a few days. I've been trying to keep track of how much it helps my overall eye health. I'll have to ask my doctor next time if this helps with the eye pressure in the long run.

I've had to be extra careful about the sudden eyesight loss they mention in the urgent side effects. I live in a place with no doctor in sight, so if I'm worried I have to go 20 miles to the nearest one. It's strange that a drop can cause so many problems.

I had some eye redness when I first started using it, but it went away after a couple of weeks. I've been using this medication for over a year now, and it's been a life saver. I'd recommend talking to your doctor about any concerns you have!

I think it's important to remember that everyone reacts to medications differently. Just because someone else had a bad experience doesn't mean you will too. But you should definitely be aware of the potential side effects.
