I've been prescribed Janumet 50/500mg Tablets to help manage my type 2 diabetes, and while I'm hopeful it will work, I'm also a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The medication contains sitagliptin and metformin, which are supposed to control blood sugar, but the list of possible side effects is quite long and scary. I'm particularly worried about the more urgent ones like lactic acidosis and pancreatitis. Has anyone else been on this medication? How has your experience been? Did you encounter any of the more severe side effects, and if so, how did you handle them? I'd love to hear from people who have been through this. It's always good to know you're not alone.

I had to stop taking it because of severe joint pain. It was awful. I had to switch to something else. Have you considered talking to your doctor about alternatives?

This medication is a lifesaver for me. I had a lot of the initial side effects but they faded over time. Just stick with it and see how it goes.

How long have you been taking it? Sometimes it takes a while to adjust.

I had a friend who got really sick with pancreatitis from this medication. It's scary stuff. I'd be really cautious if I were you.

I switched to a different medication after feeling like garbage for a few weeks. Sometimes our bodies just don't like certain meds.
