Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Kepivance (Palifermin) injections?
I'm scheduled to start Kepivance injections as part of my pre-stem cell transplant treatment. I had a weird change in taste after my first few doses. It went away after a week or so. But yeah, the joint pain was pretty bad, so make sure you have some pain meds on hand if you need them.
I had swelling, thought it was cause for concern, but my doc wasn't worried. Make sure your doctor checks you out for that.
My mom had this a few years ago with no side effects, but she already had some mucus in her throat, so doctors were careful about the dosage. Make sure that happens to you for any new meds.
