Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Lidocaine 1% Injection for dental work?
I recently had a dental procedure where Lidocaine 1% Inj, 10ml was used for numbing. The dentist assured me it was safe, but I'm a bit worried after reading the listed side effects. Has anyone else had experiences with this? Were there any serious side effects or complications? How did you handle them? I'm particularly concerned about the risk of allergic reactions and methemoglobinemia. What should I do if I experience any of these symptoms in the future? I want to be prepared.

I had a bad reaction once. My lips turned blue, and I felt really dizzy. Went to the ER, and they said it was methemoglobinemia. Scary stuff, but I'm fine now. Just be aware of the symptoms.
I had a lidocaine injection for a dental procedure. I felt like I was completely numb for hours. It was strange, but it wore off eventually. No side effects though. Just be aware of the risks and you should be fine.
I've had lidocaine injections multiple times for dental work and never had any issues. Just make sure to inform your dentist about any allergies you have. It's always better to be safe
I'm a dentist, and lidocaine is commonly used. Just follow the doctor's instructions, and you should be fine. The side effects are rare, and most people don't experience them. If you do, it's usually minor stuff like feeling lightheaded.
I had a seizure once after a lidocaine injection. I thought I was going to die. Turns out it was a rare side effect. I'm ok now, but it was terrifying, so I am very careful now.
I've never had any issues with lidocaine. I think it's safe to use, but you should always be aware of the risks. If you experience any side effects, contact your doctor right away. It's always better to be safe.
I had a lidocaine injection for a minor procedure. The numbing wore off too quickly, and I felt like I was on fire. Never again.
I had a friend who had an allergic reaction. She started breaking out in hives and had trouble breathing. She's fine now, but it was scary. If you feel anything weird, go to the ER immediately.
