I've been prescribed Methotrexate 2.5mg tablets for my severe psoriasis and have been taking them for about a month now. The medication has definitely helped with my symptoms, but I can't shake the fear of experiencing severe side effects. I know this medication is used for cancer treatment as well, so it must be a very powerful drug. Has anyone else had significant side effects? And if you discovered you're allergic to Methotrexate, would your physician treat you with a different medication?

I've had a similar experience with Methotrexate. It helped with my psoriatic arthritis, but the side effects were terrible. I had constant nausea and I felt like I was going to throw up all the time. Plus I was getting colds constantly.

Did you know that Methotrexate can cause lung problems? I had a friend who was taking it for her rheumatoid arthritis and she started to have trouble breathing. It turned out to be a side effect of the drug and she had to stop taking it.

I was surprised that my doctor prescribed Methotrexate for my psoriasis. I thought it was just a cancer drug. Anyway, I haven't had any issues yet, but it's scary to know the potential side effects.

You should be aware that Methotrexate can cause liver damage so you need to have regular liver function tests. And definitely watch out for signs of infection! I stopped taking it because I was always so dizzy.

If you're on Methotrexate, you need to be really careful with alcohol. It can seriously mess with your liver. And yeah, watch out for infections too. My doctor was really strict about that.

I've been on Methotrexate for a few years now for my rheumatoid arthritis. I started with a lower dosage but it works well to keep the disease under control. I had some nausea and fatigue initially, but that went away after a few weeks. I've never had any severe reactions or anything like that.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I've been on Methotrexate for a few weeks but I've just been ignoring the nausea and hoping it goes away. I had no idea it could be a warning sign of something more serious. Thanks, everyone, for sharing your experiences. I'm going to call my doctor right away.

I was on Methotrexate for a while, but it just didn't agree with me. I had severe stomach pain and a few other issues. I finally switched to something else and it made my life a lot better.

Your liver is going to shit, ok.

I heard that Methotrexate can cause hair loss. That's a big concern for me. Has anyone experienced this?
