I've been taking Montelukast 10mg Tablets for a few months now to manage my asthma and allergies. It's been great for preventing symptoms, but I've been reading about some serious side effects. Has anyone else had any bad experiences with this medication? I'm particularly worried about the severe skin reactions and breathing issues mentioned in the literature. How do you know if it's worth the risk? Are there any red flags I should be looking out for that might indicate I should stop taking it?

Just want to ask - does anyone know if the side effects get worse over time or do they usually show up right away? I've been taking it for a bit and haven't had any issues, fingers crossed!

I had some really weird side effects like burning and tingling sensations in my hands and feet, but my doctor said it's pretty rare. I've been on it for a while now and it's been stable but still gets me thinking of what dangers there could be. I wouldn't discount it completely until you consult a medical professional.

I started taking Montelukast and got a really bad rash. I stopped taking it and the rash went away. I didn't get any other side effects but I was really scared. I suggest talking to your doctor about it and you might need to stop taking it and see if the rash goes away.

I had a bad reaction to Montelukast, and I had to go to the hospital. I had trouble breathing and my skin was really bad.

I've been on Montelukast for years and haven't had any issues, but I've heard horror stories from others. If you're worried, talk to your doctor about switching to a different medication. I think it's worth taking the risk, but everyone is different.

I stopped taking it because of the side effects, and my asthma was under control before I stopped taking it. I just couldn't handle the side effects anymore. I switched to a different medication and it was perfect. It's worth just going to the doctor and switching.
