I was recently prescribed Olmesartan Medox/hctz 40-12.5mg Tab for blood pressure management. The combination of Olmesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide is supposed to help lower my blood pressure, which is great, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The medication information sheet lists some serious side effects like allergic reactions, kidney problems, and even eye issues. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips for managing side effects.

I had a really hard time with the electrolyte issues. My doctor monitored me closely and made some adjustments. It's manageable, but you need to be vigilant.

I heard it can mess with your electrolytes. How have you been managing that?

My doctor warned me about the potential for skin cancer with this medication. I've been really diligent about sun protection and regular skin checks. It's a bit of a hassle, but worth it for peace of mind.

I wish they had told me about the potential for kidney problems earlier. I had to get some tests done and it was a bit scary.

I had some serious stomach issues when I started taking this. It was so bad, I had to switch to a different medication. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience anything like that.

I've been on this for a few months now and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of dizziness at first, but it went away after a week. Make sure to stay hydrated, that helped me a lot.
