I've been prescribed Ondansetron 4mg tablets to manage nausea and vomiting during my chemotherapy treatments. I've heard horror stories about serotonin syndrome and other severe side effects, and I missed my last treatment because I was too scared to proceed. Has anyone else had serious issues with this medication? I'm really struggling with whether to continue or find an alternative. It's been tough, but I'm hoping to hear from others who have gone through this. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. I’ve had serotonin syndrome from another medication, and it was scary. Definitely talk to your doctor about your fears and see if there's another option.

Why are these side effects so scary? They should have a lot more research to have a safer drug.

I've been on Ondansetron for a while now, and aside from feeling a bit tired, I haven't had any major side effects. Hope you find something that works for you!

I've taken Ondansetron during chemo and never had any issues. It was a lifesaver for my nausea. Just make sure to talk to your doctor about all your concerns.

Serotonin syndrome is rare but serious. Make sure you're monitored closely if you decide to continue. Hope you feel better soon!

I get really sleepy when I take Ondansetron, but it's worth it to avoid the nausea. Just be careful and listen to your body. You got this!

Have you tried any alternative medications? Sometimes switching to a different anti-nausea drug can make a big difference. Good luck!

I had a mild allergic reaction once, but my doctor switched me to a different medication. Definitely worth discussing with your healthcare provider.

I've had horrible nausea and vomiting during chemo, and Ondansetron really helped. Just make sure to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor about any side effects.
