I've been prescribed Pamine 2.5mg Tablets for treating my stomach pain and irritable bowel syndrome. I'm wondering if anyone has had severe side effects like those listed for allergic reactions, heart problems, or erectile dysfunction. My doctor didn't go into a lot of detail about those side effects. Recently I've been feeling dizzy and tired, and I'm just not sure if it's the medication or something else. I had a really bad reaction to Pamine. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. It was scary. I had to go to the hospital and they had to give me steroids to bring it down. For me it was too big a risk and I'd rather just stay away from this meds entirely.
I was really sceptical to begin with about the side effects that are listed, but I'm sure if you have any concerns just let your doctor know. Shouldn't they be able to be very watchful? I'm not sure if all doctors are aware of the more serious side effects listed or they just don't talk about them. Don't be like me and avoid telling your doctor about symptoms until you are pretty sure it is something else. It just makes it more difficult to work out what the problem is.
I take Pamine and have to watch my fluid intake. You really have to stay hydrated, otherwise, you can end up in the ER with kidney problems. Also - please don't drive when you are first taking it as it can make you feel very sleepy.
Feeling nervous about the erectile dysfunction side effect. Has anyone else experienced this?
Be very careful with this medication. It can cause serious problems. I had a friend who ended up in the ER with a fast heartbeat and severe confusion. It was terrifying.It turns out they have to be very careful with their dosages and also monitor their hydration.
