I've been prescribed Pred Forte 1% Ophth Susp 5ml for an eye condition, and I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The warnings are quite serious, especially the ones about allergic reactions and changes in vision. I understand that these are rare, but it's still concerning. Has anyone else had to use this medication? I'm curious to know if anyone has experienced any of the urgent side effects or if it's generally well-tolerated. I've read that it can cause headaches and eye irritation, which are manageable, but the thought of something more severe has me on edge. Has anyone had a bad reaction they wish to share?

My mom had a severe allergic reaction to these drops once. It was terrifying. She had swelling in her face and throat and had to go to the ER. So yeah, these can be life-threatening, very scary.

I never had any issues, but my brother did. He had blisters on his eyelid and it was really bad. If you notice anything weird, stop using it and call the doctor.

Always read the warnings on the medicine. It's good that they tell you what to watch out for. If you notice anything, stop using it and call your doctor. I think it's just a good idea to be smart about it.

I had my eye swell up to the size of a golf ball. It was nothing to mess with. I was so worried. I called the doc and they had me stop the drops and go to the ER. All good in the end, but yeah, scary.

I used these drops for a month and had no side effects at all, which is why I think there's no reason to worry. The FDA stuff is good to know, but I think it's mostly good as a scare tactic. They don't want to miss anything.

I'm at 18 upvotes. I think the key is to use them exactly as prescribed and not to worry too much. If you have any concerns, talk to your doctor.
