I had to take Protamine Sul 10mg/ml Inj, 5ml after a recent surgery to reverse the effects of heparin. The injection was administered correctly, and it did its job well, but I've heard some horror stories about the side effects. Has anyone else had to use this medication? Were there any severe side effects, or did the injection go smoothly? I'm particularly concerned about the rare but severe allergic reactions. My hospital didn't give me much information on what to do if those symptoms occur. Has anyone had to seek immediate medical attention after treatment? Did your doctor provide clear instructions on what to do after administration, or did you wish you'd had more information?

I had some mild side effects like feeling tired and weak. Did manage to report it via the FDA website. Not sure if it helps anyone but worth it.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this. It's a lifesaving drug, but the side effects are no joke. I had some severe dizziness and shortness of breath after taking it. I knew something was wrong and called my doctor right away. They said it was a reaction to the drug and to avoid it in the future. I wish I'd known about these potential side effects before taking it.

I had to use this after a procedure last year. No side effects for me, but my nurse warned me about the possibility of an allergic reaction. She said if I had any trouble breathing or swelling, I should go to the ER immediately. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with that, though.

I had a friend who had a bad reaction. They ended up in the ICU for a few days. It was scary, but they pulled through. If you're going to be taking this, make sure you have someone with you who can recognize the signs of a bad reaction.

Not sure why anyone would want to avoid this. Without it, blood clots get out of control and you can die.

I'm a pharmacist, and I can tell you that the side effects listed are serious. You must watch for any signs of an allergic reaction. If you experience any of the symptoms mentioned, seek medical attention immediately. Protamine sulfate is a powerful drug, and it should be used with caution. Talk to your doctor about any concerns you have.

I work in a hospital and have seen a severe reaction to this drug. It's scary. The patient had swelling of the face and throat and could barely breathe. We had to act fast and get them stabilized. If you experience these symptoms, go to the ER immediately or call an ambulance. Don't wait!

I'm a nurse, and I've seen a few patients have mild side effects like back pain and flushing. But I've also seen the severe ones, and they're not fun. Make sure to tell your doctor if you experience anything unusual.

I had no idea that this drug could cause such severe side effects. I had a procedure last week and was given this to reverse the effects of heparin. I didn't experience any side effects, but now I'm worried that I might have a delayed reaction. Should I be concerned?
