Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Risperdal M-Tab 4mg Tablets?
I was recently prescribed Risperdal M-Tab 4mg Tablets and I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects. The list is quite extensive and some of the serious side effects sound quite frightening. I've read about neuroleptic malignant syndrome and tardive dyskinesia, and I'm wondering if anyone here has had personal experience with these or other serious side effects. How common are they really, and what should I do if I notice any of these symptoms? Also, I'm curious about common side effects like weight gain or restlessness. How have others dealt with these? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The thing that freaks me out the most is the neuroleptic malignant syndrome. It sounds so serious and scary. I think I might just switch to a different drug. Has anyone else considered this?
I had a friend who was on this medication and had some pretty nasty side effects. He experienced severe dizziness and trouble moving around. He switched to a different medication and it's been fine since then. It's so variable, isn't it?
I had some really bad anxiety when I started taking it. I thought it was a side effect but it turned out to be something else entirely. It's scary, I'll give you that, but managing your anxiety has a lot to do with mindset too.
If you're really worried, just talk to your doctor. They can monitor you closely and adjust your dosage if needed. Trust me, they know what they're doing.
I got the nausea, skin rash, and trouble swallowing. I thought it was all symptoms for other diseases, but turns out it was just the medication. I had to switch to Prolixin and it was much better.
I've heard all these horror stories about Risperdal, but honestly, I've had a good experience with it. Just make sure you're eating right and getting enough exercise. That goes a long way.
I have heard that Risperdal can cause weight gain. It did for me, but exercise helped a lot. As for the serious side effects, I never had any issues, thanks to close monitoring by my doctor.
