I recently had a procedure where Sensorcaine-Mpf/epi 0.75% Inj, 30ml was used as a local anesthetic. The doctor explained that bupivacaine is the numbing agent, and epinephrine helps the numbness last longer and reduces bleeding. However, I'm really worried about the potential serious side effects listed, especially methemoglobinemia and acidosis. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about any side effects you've encountered and how you dealt with them.

Yeah, I had it once and I had unusual pain and burning sensations at the injection site. It was pretty unpleasant.

This is why I always ask for alternatives if possible. Any anesthetic carries risks, but the combination of bupivacaine and epinephrine can be particularly tricky for some people. Always read the possible side effects and discuss with your doctor ahead of time.

A friend of mine went through a bad experience with this. He fainted and had severe dizziness. I feel for you and hope you get better soon! Maybe try a different option next time.

I had a friend who had a very bad experience with this. They ended up with severe acidosis symptoms, including extreme shortness of breath and severe stomach pain. It was a nightmare. Please, if you feel anything off, get help right away.

I think it's a bit too risky. Had it once and almost fainted. Never again for me. I will always make sure that possible side-effects are discussed and possible alternatives are considered.

I had a dentistry procedure with Sensorcaine and didn't experience anything severe. It worked well and the pain was managed perfectly. I did have a slight metallic taste but that was it. However, my friend use the substance in skin treatment and experienced some extreme nausea.

I think the epinephrine part is scary. I've heard it can interact badly with certain heart medications. Make sure to let your doctor know what you're taking!
