I've recently been prescribed Anti-Diarrheal 1mg/7.5ml Oral Sol (Loperamide) for acute diarrhea. While it seems to be effective, I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. The packaging lists some serious symptoms like allergic reactions, severe stomach issues, and even changes in urine output. Has anyone else had any of these issues? I'd love to hear about your experiences. Should I be worried about any specific symptoms more than others, or is this medication usually safe? I'd really appreciate any insights or advice.

I've never had any problems with it. Always follow the dosage instructions on the package.

I've used it a few times with no issues. I did have some dizziness, but it went away after a few hours. I think it's generally safe if you follow the dosage instructions.

I'd be more concerned about the potential for abuse. I know some people use it for opioid withdrawal or else. I did and it didn't go well. I might have had a severe case. I'm not sure. But it made me think twice.

I had a friend who had a bad reaction to this stuff. He ended up in the ER with severe abdominal pain. Not sure if it was related, but it scared me off it.
