I've been prescribed Methotrexate 2.5mg tablets for my rheumatoid arthritis and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. The list is quite long and some of them sound really serious. I take them once a week as directed. Has anyone had any bad experiences or know someone who has? I'm really hoping I don't end up with any of the urgent side effects like allergic reactions or severe stomach pain. I did read that many people don't experience any side effects at all, so maybe I'll be lucky. Regardless, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to manage the more common side effects like dizziness and fatigue. I'd really appreciate some insight from anyone who's been through this.

I had some hair loss, but it wasn't too bad. The rashes and dryness were more annoying. Keeping hydrated and taking care of myself helped. I think that's one thing you don't want to skimp on.

I've heard that taking it with food can help with stomach pain. I don't have experience with it, but it might help. Plus, any diet or lifestyle changes you can make to help mitigate symptoms are always a good idea!

I had to stop taking it because of severe stomach pain. It was awful. My doctor switched me to a different medication and I'm doing much better now. Everyone's different, so hopefully you'll be okay. Just be cautious and report anything unusual to your doctor.

I've been on Methotrexate for about a year now and haven't had any major issues. I do get some fatigue, but it's manageable. Make sure you stay hydrated and listen to your body. If you feel really bad, always call your doctor.

I've been on a low dose for a few months, and the only Bothersome side effects have been some hair loss and fatigue. I make sure to rest when needed, and using dry shampoo makes the hair loss easier to deal with. Hope you don't have a bad time with it.
