I've been prescribed Risedronate Sod 5mg Tablets for osteoporosis and I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The list of possible side effects is quite long and includes some serious issues like allergic reactions, low calcium levels, and even jawbone problems. I've heard that some people have had severe reactions, but I'm not sure how common these are. Has anyone else taken this medication and experienced any of these serious side effects? Or perhaps you know someone who has? I'm really nervous about starting this treatment and would appreciate any insights or advice.

I've heard that Risedronate can cause severe jawbone problems, especially with long-term use. If you start experiencing any jaw pain or swelling, definitely talk to your doctor right away. They might want to do an ultrasound just to make sure there's no infection. Also, I've heard that if you have a history of dental issues, you might want to talk to your doctor about alternative medications. That’s what my doctor said.

I've been taking Risedronate for a while and haven't really experienced any side effects. I take it once a week with a full glass of water and stay upright for at least 30 minutes afterwards. Definitely worth it to keep up the routine.

What's the difference between this and other osteoporosis medications? I've heard about Fosamax and Boniva. Are they all the same?

I took this medication for a few months and it was a nightmare. I had terrible stomach pain and it was like I was nauseous all the time.

This medication is def worth it if you're at risk for fractures. Just make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. Also, you should consider what your fitness level is. If you're not active at all you may want to start a fitness routine in addition to taking this medication.

I took this for a while and had some minor stomach issues, but nothing too bad. Just make sure to take it correctly to avoid irritation. Stay Hydrated!.
