I was prescribed Tekturna HCT 300-12.5 Tablets for high blood pressure and have been taking them for about a month now. I've read about the potential serious side effects and it has me a bit worried. Has anyone else taken this medication and experienced any severe issues? I want to know if I should be concerned or if these side effects are rare as the literature suggests. I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has had to deal with kidney, eye, or liver problems as a result of this medication. How did you manage it and how bad was it? Did you need to switch medications? It'd be great to get some real-life experiences to help put my mind at ease.

I've had some issues with skin problems, which can be a serious side effect of this medication. I noticed that I had some changes in my moles, so I went to my dermatologist, and we found that it was a sign of skin cancer. Thankfully, it was caught early. Make sure you're getting regular skin checks if you're on this medication.

I had a mild allergic reaction to this medication, and it turned out the doctor had to switch me to a different pill. I experienced some mild hives and swelling, but it was nothing a change in medication couldn't fix. Make sure to watch for even minor reactions, as they can sometimes escalate quickly.

If you experience a severe side effect, don't hesitate to go to the ER. It's always better to be safe than sorry. I had a friend who was so worried about the side effects that she decided to stop taking her medication entirely. This led to uncontrolled blood pressure and a possible stroke. Stay in touch with your doctor and don’t try to handle serious side effects on your own.

Serious side effects are rare, but you should be aware of the signs. Mood changes, swelling, or sudden vision problems are all serious symptoms that could indicate a larger issue. Listen to your body and contact your doctor if you notice changes that seem out of the ordinary.

Has anyone else had dizziness so bad they had to give up driving?

I didn't have any serious side effects, but I did experience a lot of dizziness and fatigue. I had to take it easy for a while and adjust my daily routine to account for these symptoms. But then, I didn't have any major issues after a few weeks. It was just a rough start.

I took Tekturna HCT for about six months and never experienced any serious side effects. I did have some dizziness and fatigue at first, but it went away after a few weeks. My doctor monitored my kidney function regularly, and everything was fine. I think the key is to stay in close contact with your healthcare provider.
