I was recently prescribed Triamterene 37.5mg/HCTZ 25mg tablets for high blood pressure and swelling. I've read the list of possible side effects, and while most seem manageable, some of the urgent side effects are quite alarming. Has anyone else taken this medication and experienced any of the severe side effects listed? I'm particularly worried about the possibility of kidney problems or fluid and electrolyte imbalances. Should I be closely monitoring any specific symptoms, or is it normal to feel anxious about these potential risks? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! Side effects have not been a problem so far, but the possibility of more serious ones is unsettling.

I've been on it for a year and no problems. Just the usual side effects like dizziness and fatigue. Nothing major. Keep an eye on your potassium levels, though. That's what can cause the muscle cramps and weakness.

I've had no issues at all. I do have regular blood tests to monitor my electrolytes, though. It's a good idea to have your doctor keep an eye on that. Plus, it's always a good idea to have regular check-ups to monitor your kidney function too.

I had a friend who took this and had some pretty bad side effects, but it's not very common. Just be cautious and if you feel anything unusual, go to the doctor immediately. Don't wait it out if something seems seriously wrong.

I've had this before and found it to be pretty effective. Just be sure to stay hydrated and monitor your potassium levels. If you start feeling weak or dizzy, talk to your doctor. It could be a sign of an electrolyte imbalance.

I've had this pill before. Definitely do what your doctor says, but don't worry too much. Most people are fine with it. My mom takes it and she's fine. It's just a water pill.

I've been on this medication for a few months and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild dizziness and occasional stomach upset, but nothing too serious. Definitely keep an eye on your fluid intake and electrolytes, though. Stay hydrated and talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.

I had a really bad reaction to this drug. I ended up with severe dizziness and kidney problems. I had to stop taking it and switch to something else. Definitely be cautious and listen to your body.
