Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Unasyn 3gm Inj 1 Vial?
I was prescribed Unasyn 3gm Inj 1 Vial for a bacterial infection, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had experiences with this medication. The pain at the injection site was brutal. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Ice packs helped a bit, but not much.
I had Unasyn a few years ago, and it gave me the worst diarrhea. Had to stop taking it for a while. Make sure you stay hydrated if you get the runs!
I didn't have any issues with it. But I did have a bad reaction to a different antibiotic once. Made me break out in hives. Scared the living daylights out of me. Hope you don't experience any of the allergies.
You might want to ask your doctor about other antibiotics if the side effects are too much. Sometimes they can switch you to something else.
Be careful with any antibiotic. They can mess with your gut. Consider asking your doc to add probiotics to help with the diarrhea
