I've been prescribed Millipred 10mg/5ml Oral Solution for my chronic asthma and I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The list of serious side effects is quite long, including things like Cushing's syndrome, high blood sugar, and even adrenal gland problems. I've read that these side effects are rare, but I can't help but be concerned.

Has anyone else had to take this medication and experienced any of these serious side effects? If so, how did you cope with them? I'd appreciate any insights or advice.

I'm also curious about the other possible side effects like weight gain and sleep disturbances. It's a bit daunting to think I might deal with these on top of my existing health issues. Has anyone found any useful ways to manage these side effects?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've been on Millipred for a few months now and haven't experienced any serious side effects. Just the usual stomach upset and increased appetite. But I've been monitoring my blood sugar levels regularly just to be safe.

Anyone else feel like they are parts of a medical experiment whenever they try a new medication? Like how do they know all these side effects are worth the risk, honestly?

Be careful with the increased appetite. I gained 20 pounds in the first month because I couldn't stop eating. Had to switch to a more strict diet to keep the weight off.

I've heard that some people experience serious side effects, but it's important to remember that these are rare. Always consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

I've had the pleasure of experiencing both Cushing's syndrome and adrenal gland problems from Millipred. Not fun, but my doctor switched me to a different medication and I'm doing much better now.

Oh man, I had some serious mood swings when I was on this. It was like having PMS times 10 every day. But my doctor said it was because of the steroid messing with my cortisol levels.

Interesting, I’ve never heard of Millipred before. I wonder why it’s not more widely known since it seems to cover so many conditions. Maybe it's because of the side effects? It might be the same for you if you have allergies, asthma or arthritis

I had a friend who had to switch to Millipred due to adrenal gland problems. Doctors said the medication caused the issues, but it took a very long time to figure out what the right dose should be.

I was on Millipred for a while and did gain some weight, but it was manageable with diet and exercise. The sleep disturbances were the worst for me, but they went away after a few weeks.
