I've been prescribed Captopril 100mg Tablets for high blood pressure and heart failure, and I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The list of possible side effects is quite long and includes some serious ones like allergic reactions, kidney problems, and liver issues. I've heard that liver problems can even be fatal in some cases. Has anyone else been on this medication and experienced any of these severe side effects? I'd appreciate any advice or personal experiences you might share. Thank you!

I actually had to go to the ER because of Captopril. I had a really bad allergic reaction with hives and trouble breathing. Thankfully, I caught it early and I’m fine.

I get so tired when I take this, but it's better than the alternative. I just try to rest more and take it easy.

I've been on Captopril for years and I've been fine. I've heard that some people have had issues with their kidneys, so I get regular check-ups just to be safe.

I had a really bad experience with Captopril. I started getting severe dizziness and nausea, so I had to stop taking it. My doctor switched me to another medication.

I've been on Captopril for a few months now and haven't had any serious side effects. Just a bit of a cough at first, but it went away. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

The changes in taste were the worst for me. Everything tasted metallic, but it got better after a while.

I didn't know it could cause liver problems. I guess I'll be keeping an eye out for yellow skin or dark urine. Thanks for the heads-up, OP.

Don't forget to monitor your potassium levels. High potassium can be really dangerous. My doctor told me to eat a low-potassium diet while on this medication.
