Has anyone experienced side effects from Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg Capsules?
I was recently prescribed Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg Capsules for high blood pressure and swelling. I've heard it can have some serious side effects, so I'm a bit worried. Has anyone else taken this medication? What were your experiences? I'm particularly concerned about the risk of skin cancer and eye problems mentioned in the leaflet. Are these really that common? Any tips on managing side effects or advice on what to watch out for would be greatly appreciated.

I've been on Hydrochlorothiazide for a few months now, and while I haven't had any major issues, I did experience some dizziness and fatigue initially. It's a good idea to stay hydrated and monitor your electrolyte levels. Talk to your doctor about regular check-ups, especially if you have a family history of skin cancer.
Just a heads-up, I got really dizzy and lightheaded after starting this. I had to switch to a different medication. But hey, everyone's different—just listen to your body, okay?
I had a friend who took this and ended up with some pretty bad stomach cramps. She had to switch to a different medication.
I got this prescribed for my mom and the doctor mentioned the risk of eye problems. My mom was freaking out, but it turns out it's quite rare. She's been fine so far, but it's always good to be cautious. Have regular eye checks.
This stuff is a godsend for my blood pressure. I do get headaches sometimes, but nothing I can't handle with some ibuprofen. Just make sure to watch for those serious side effects, though, because they can be scary.
