Nelarabine is a powerful chemotherapy drug used to treat certain types of blood cancers (T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma) that don't respond to other treatments. It works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells. However, like many chemotherapy drugs, it can have some serious side effects. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has taken this medication and how they managed any side effects that came up. Did you experience any of the urgent side effects, like allergic reactions or signs of infection? What about more common side effects, like dizziness, fatigue, or nausea? Any tips on managing these symptoms would be greatly appreciated.

I've been on Nelarabine for a while now, and I've had some trouble with fluid and electrolyte problems. My doctor had me drink a ton of water and supplement everything electrolytes. It worked but I drink water like it's my job.

Rash, hives, itching yeah it's a nightmare. I'm right now going through the same thing.

I had a terrible experience with Nelarabine. I experienced pretty severe dizziness and it was basically like waking up drunk every day. I was also having trouble with electrolytes. I ended up needing an IV to keep up my levels.

Is this medication worth it? I have T-cell lymphoma, and my doctor is recommending Nelarabine as a last resort. I'm just really scared of all the side effects and the possibility of tumor lysis syndrome. Has anyone else been through this?

Has anyone else had issues with mouth sores? I've had this on and off and it's pretty miserable. I use a prescribed mouth rinse, but sometimes it feels like I might never be free of them.

I've been on Nelarabine for about 6 months now and I've experienced some pretty severe nausea. I tried a bunch of different anti-nausea meds, but nothing seemed to work. Eventually, my doctor switched me to a different medication and it's made a world of difference. Just want to share that in case anyone else is struggling with this side effect.

I was really nervous about starting Nelarabine because of all the potential side effects, but I've actually been pretty lucky. I've had some mild stomach issues, but nothing I can't handle with some over-the-counter stuff. I hope it stays this way!

I was on Nelarabine for a few months and the fatigue was unreal. I felt like I was constantly exhausted, even after a full night's sleep. My doctor suggested some lifestyle changes, like taking short naps during the day and adjusting my sleep schedule. It didn't totally erase the fatigue, but it did help me manage it a bit better.
