I was recently prescribed Sirturo (bedaquiline) 100mg tablets to manage my multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB). I've heard it can be very effective, but I'm worried about the serious side effects I read about. Has anyone had personal experience with this medication? Did you encounter any severe reactions? What was the recovery process like? I'm trying to understand how my body may react to the drug, and how this fits into the broader treatment plan. I appreciate any insights or advice you can share. If you've managed side effects well, how did you and your doctor handle them? It's crucial for me to know what to watch out for and how to manage my health during treatment.

Avoiding serious side effects is crucial, so be sure to stick to your doctor's advice. If you experience any of the symptoms like chest pain or coughing up blood, don't hesitate to go to the hospital. Early intervention can make a huge difference. I remember reading about a case where someone ignored these symptoms and it led to severe complications.

This medication is a lifeline for people with MDR-TB, but yeah, the side effects can be really intense. I had a friend who went through this. Managing the side effects was a real challenge, but once he got through the rough patch, he started to feel better. It's tough but worth it in the long run.

I can totally relate to the struggle. Anyone else feeling the pain but powering through? This was tough, but I'm glad I stuck to the treatment plan. It's tough, but it's worth it in the long run.

I had a really bad allergic reaction to Sirturo—swelling, rash, the works. I had to stop treatment immediately and seek emergency medical help. Since then, I've learned that anyone taking this drug should be cautious and keep a close eye on their symptoms. It's a tough balance because MDR-TB is serious, but so are the potential side effects.

Bringing this to my doctor. Need to pick a different medication. Allergic, but no time to waste. MDR-TB ain't no joke.

Seriously, keep a symptom journal. It'll help you track any changes and discuss them with your doctor. No need to have symptoms sneaking up on you.
