I've been prescribed Zioptan 0.0015% eye drops for glaucoma, but I'm really concerned about the potential side effects, especially the permanent eye color change. Has anyone else experienced this or know someone who has? How common is it really? I've read mixed things online. My doctor didn't seem too concerned, but I want to hear from people who've actually used it. Also, what about other side effects like eye irritation or eyelash changes? Are they temporary? Any tips for managing them? I'm hoping to hear from people who've been through this so I know what to expect.

Be prepared for some irritation. I used Zioptan for a few months and the stinging was bad, but I ended up with eyelash darkening and growth. I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Eye color change? Seriously? I'd rather have that than go blind. Just kidding, but yeah, it's a weird side effect. I haven't experienced it, though. Stinging was bad at first, but it calmed down after a few days.

I had a bad reaction to Zioptan. My eyes got really irritated and I ended up with a UTI. I had to switch meds and it was a huge hassle. I suggest you be on guard and monitor your symptoms for any signs of major issues,

Has anyone had problems with eye discharge with Zioptan? I started getting some and it's really annoying. I'm not sure if it's a side effect or something else.

I've been using Zioptan for a year now and haven't had any major issues. A bit of stinging at first, but it went away after a week. No eye color changes either. Just be consistent with your use and follow your doctor's instructions.
