Has anyone experienced sudden sleepiness while taking Requip 3mg Tablets for Restless Legs Syndrome?
I've been taking Requip 3mg Tablets for my restless legs syndrome for about a month now, and I've noticed that I've been feeling extremely sleepy during the day. I've even dozed off a couple of times during work. I'm worried about this sudden sleepiness, especially since it's dangerous to drive or operate machinery when feeling this way. I've read that Requip can cause drowsiness, but this feels more extreme. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what did you do about it? How quickly should I be concerned?

I had issues with dizziness and burning sensations in my hands. Never had sleepiness, though. It was really uncomfortable, but it went away after a few days.
I had some weird side effects when I started taking Requip, but not sleepiness. I had hallucinations, which were pretty scary. I had to stop taking it.
I think it's important to mention that everyone's body reacts differently to medication. What works for one person might not work for another. Always listen to your body and consult your doctor.
I switched to Requip from another medication and had the same issue. It went away after a few weeks. Hang in there!
Maybe try taking the medication right before bed and see if that helps with the daytime sleepiness. Just a thought!
This is why I always read the side effects list. Sudden sleepiness is a serious side effect, and you should definitely talk to your doctor about it.
