I recently started taking Amantadine 100mg capsules for my Parkinson's symptoms, and I've been experiencing some vivid dreams and occasional dizziness. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or any other unusual side effects? How did you manage them? Also, I'm curious about its historical use in treating the flu and why it's not used for that anymore. Any insights would be much appreciated!

I wish I could take the medication. The side effects are no joke. I stopped taking it after two weeks of severe hallucinations. So scary.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the anxiety and nervousness. It's been tough for me, but my doctor suggested some relaxation techniques that have helped a bit.

I had vivid dreams too, but I found that taking it earlier in the day helped. Also, Amantadine was used for the flu years ago, but the virus adapted and became resistant to it, so it's not effective anymore.

I used to take Amantadine when it was prescribed for the flu. It worked pretty well until it didn't. I miss the days when it was effective for the flu.

Sad to hear that it’s not used for the flu anymore. But glad it’s helpful for Parkinson’s. It’s amazing how medications evolve over time.

For real though, if anyone has tips for dealing with drowsiness or fatigue, let me know! It's been hard to keep up with daily activities.

I've been on Amantadine for a few months now, and the dizziness is something I've dealt with. Make sure to talk to your doctor about it; they might adjust your dosage.
