Has anyone experienced weight gain while taking Mirtazapine 7.5mg Tablets for depression?
I was recently prescribed Mirtazapine 7.5mg to help manage my depression and anxiety. It's been a few weeks, and I've noticed an increase in my appetite and a bit of weight gain. I understand that this is a common side effect, but I'm struggling to control my food intake and maintain my healthy lifestyle. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, do you have any tips for managing the side effects? It can be a real challenge to stay motivated and maintain a positive outlook when feeling sluggish and hungry all the time. I've also noticed some vivid dreams. Anyone else having that happen? It's a different experience for everyone, and I hope to hear about all of your journeys.

I didn't gain any weight, but I did experience some serious dizziness. Made me feel like I was on a boat in rough waters. It passed after a few weeks, though. Hang in there!
I switched from Lexapro to Mirtazapine, and the difference was night and day. I feel so much better, and the weight gain isn't too bad. Just make sure you're eating right and exercising. You got this!
Mirtazapine saved my life. I was suicidal before I started taking it. The weight gain is nothing compared to how much better I feel now. Be patient and give it time to work.
I found that eating plenty of protein and vegetables helped me feel fuller longer. And the vivid dreams are no joke! I woke up multiple times thinking I was in a horror movie.
Don't worry too much about the weight gain. It's temporary, and it's better than feeling depressed all the time. Just make sure you're eating healthily and exercising regularly. You got this!
Mirtazapine was a lifesaver for me, but the weight gain was brutal. I switched to bupropion, and it didn't have the same side effects. Maybe consider talking to your doctor about alternatives if the weight gain is too much to handle.
I heard it can take a few weeks to really kick in. Hang tight and give it some time. If the side effects are too much, talk to your doctor. They might adjust the dose or switch you to something else.
I wish my doc had warned me about the vivid dreams. I thought I was losing my mind. And the appetite increase was insane. I was eating everything in sight. Gained 15 pounds in a month.
I gained about 10 pounds in the first month. It sucks, but it's manageable. I switched to smaller, more frequent meals and started walking regularly. It helped a bit. And yes, the dreams were wild! Stick with it if it's helping your mood.
I'm on 15mg now, and I haven't had any major side effects. Just a bit of drowsiness at first. But I slept like a baby, which was a blessing. Maybe you'll adjust to the 7.5mg soon.
