I've been taking Iron Complex 150mg Capsules for a few months now, and I've noticed some changes in my stool color, which the bottle says is normal, but I'm still a bit concerned. Has anyone else experienced any weird side effects or even a bad reaction to this supplement? I found the list of possible side effects pretty scary, especially the serious ones. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything important.

I've been taking them for years and never had any issues. Just make sure you take them with food to avoid stomach upset.

I experienced some stomach cramps and had exactly the same color change to black. Called my doc and she said it'd be typical. But I kept it watery/colored so I'll know if it changes permanently.

I tried taking these with a meal and it helped with the nausea but not the constipation. Ended up switching to another supplement with much better results.

I switched to a liquid iron supplement because the capsules were too hard on my stomach. The liquid form is gentler but tastes awful. Might be worth trying if you're having issues with the capsules.

Iron supplements can be a lifesaver for people with anemia, but they do come with a list of potential side effects. It’s important to stay hydrated and not to take them on an empty stomach. If anything seems off, definitely talk to your doctor. Trust your instincts on this stuff.

If you’re noticing that the iron pills are causing too many side effects, consider talking to your doctor about trying a different formulation or brand. Sometimes, switching brands can make a big difference. It worked for me.

Black stools?! That's terrifying. I wouldn't mess around with that stuff. Go to the doctor!

I had terrible constipation when I started taking iron supplements. My doctor told me to increase my fiber intake and it helped a bit. Just be careful and monitor your body's reactions!
