I've been taking prednisone for the past couple of weeks to manage my asthma and allergies. It's been helping a lot, but I'm starting to worry about the potential side effects I've read about. Has anyone else experienced any serious issues while on this medication? I'm particularly concerned about the serious side effects like infection, low potassium levels, and high blood pressure. How did your doctor address these concerns? What should I be watching for? And how can I manage the side effects or protect myself from them.

I took it for a bad flare-up of my psoriasis, and it really helped. I didn't have any serious side effects and my skin cleared up in no time. But I did notice I was more irritable and restless. I just monitored my blood pressure and sugar levels and stayed on top of it.

Prednisone side effects blow! I had a horrible breakout of acne all over my face, plus moon face! I did not make it to the gym because I was too tired. I was sweating a lot too! It was so bad I developed a rash all over my body. It really sucked. Luckily it went away once I stopped taking it. I'll think twice before starting it again.

I was on Prednisone for a while, and I didn't experience many side effects. Just a little weight gain and some trouble sleeping. I just kept monitoring my blood pressure and sugar levels, but those never changed. I hated the weight gain on steroids, but it was worth it for the relief.

Eye problems can be a sign of high blood sugar. I had to stop taking Prednisone because I developed glaucoma. It’s rare, but it can happen. I guess it just depends on your body and how you react to it.

I had some serious side effects but I was on a high dose for a long time. If you have any concerns about Prednisone, talk to your doctor. They should know what’s best for you. My advice would be to stay on top of it and make sure you’re being monitored closely. It could save you a lot of trouble in the long run.

I’ve been on it for years for my autoimmune condition. I’ve had to manage the side effects, but it’s worth it for the relief it gives me. Just make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. There are ways to manage the side effects, and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I had to take Prednisone for an allergic reaction, and I had mood swings and trouble sleeping. It wasn’t great, but nothing life-threatening. Just needed to keep in touch with my doctor and make sure I was being monitored. Some of these side effects may be expected, but the serious ones are rare. So you may just have to deal with a few troublesome symptoms for a while.

I had a friend who was taking this and had a really bad reaction to it, but it's hard to say if it was the steroid or something else. She ended up in the hospital with Cushing's syndrome features. She had swelling in her face and a rash all over her body. I guess it can get really bad if you're unlucky. It was pretty alarming, I never want to experience something like that.

I've read that sudden weight gain can be a sign of fluid retention. I guess you might be able to manage it by staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet. Also, don't forget to keep track of your blood sugar levels. I had a friend who went from 120 to 150 on a 21-day course.
