Ofev saved my life. I was diagnosed with IPF about two years ago and was given Ofev as a treatment option. It’s been a rollercoaster, but I’m grateful for every day I have. The side effects are tough, especially the stomach issues and fatigue. But there are ways to manage it.
I had a pretty rough time with Ofev. The diarrhea was so bad that I couldn’t leave the house. I also developed a UTI, which was scary. But I talked to my doctor and we managed to get it under control with antibiotics.
Has anyone else had issues with rash or hives?
I switched from Esbrei to Ofev. The side effects from Esbrei were worse, so I'm relieved to have made the change. I'm now just dealing with some stomach discomfort, but it's manageable.
I had a bad allergic reaction to Ofev. I guess it works differently for everyone. I switched to a different medication, and I'm much better now. Just be aware that it can happen.
I was really scared when I first started Ofev, but my doctor assured me that the serious side effects are rare. I've been on it for six months now and haven't had any major issues.
