I've recently been prescribed Sandostatin 500mcg/ml 1ml Amp to help manage my acromegaly symptoms. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions and pancreatitis. Has anyone had a positive experience with this medication? How did you handle the side effects? What's the injection process like? Every bit of information would be helpful as I navigate this new treatment. Looking forward to hearing from you all.

I’ve been on Sandostatin for over a year and it has been a game-changer. I don't experience any major side effects, just some flu-like symptoms every once in a while.

I've had a couple of scares with my thyroid levels. Make sure you get regular blood tests to check everything is okay. It really helps with the anxiety.

I've been on Sandostatin for a few months now, and it's really helped with my symptoms. The injection site can get a bit sore, but that's the worst of it for me. I keep an eye out for side effects, but so far, it's been manageable.

I had a pretty bad reaction to it, unfortunately. I got severe diarrhea and my doctor had to switch me to another medication. Just be careful and listen to your body!

Just remember, everyone's body is different. It might be rough, but it’s worth it. Hang in there!

I wish I could say I've had a great experience, but I haven't. I've experienced a lot of hair loss and general fatigue. My doctor is monitoring it, but it’s been tough. Would love to hear from others who have managed their symptoms well.

My doctor also recommended keeping a food and mood diary to track any unexpected changes. It's not fun, but it helps to have a record if you need to adjust things.

I’ve never had any major issues with Sandostatin, but my friend got a lot of gas and bloating. She had to switch to a different dose.
