I've been using Maalox Advance M/s Chew Tablets for a few weeks now to help with my heartburn and acid indigestion. Generally, they've been effective, but I've started to experience some constipation. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar side effects or if there are any tips to mitigate this. Additionally, I'm curious about the potential for more severe allergies. Has anyone encountered any serious reactions or does it seem to be pretty safe overall?

I took Maalox once and felt fine, but I've heard some horror stories from friends. Maybe it's just luck of the draw? Might want to switch to another brand to see how you feel.

If you start feeling wheezy, don't mess around. Get to the hospital. Once a friend experienced it and it was bad. Make sure you can breathe, alright? I'm not joking!

I've never had any problems with Maalox. The constipation you mention sounds a little odd. Maybe it's time for a different brand? Keeping a food journal might help you find what's causing your issues.

I always keep a bottle of Maalox around. Never had any issues, but I guess everyone's body reacts differently. Stick with it and hope for the best. If it gets worse, see a doc.

I had a bad reaction once—got a rash and hives. Scared me, so I stopped taking them right away. Definitely worth a call to the doc if you're feeling off.

For constipation, you might want to consider a laxative or stool softener. Just be careful—too many laxatives can backfire and make constipation worse.

Not sure if this helps, but my friend swears by ginger tea to help with stomach issues. Might be worth a shot if you're weary of medications.
