I’m considering using Libervant 15mg Buccal Film for my niece who experiences clusters of seizures. It's a thin film that dissolves in the mouth. I'm just looking for some firsthand experiences or advice on how it works and any side effects to watch out for. I've read the list of possible side effects, some of which seem pretty scary, but I'd love to hear from people who have had real-life experience dealing with it. This is her first time trying it, so any tips or warnings are greatly appreciated!

I've been using Libervant for a while now and it's been great. It's super easy to use and it works fast. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey, but my insurance covers most of it. I've had no major side effects, just some mild drowsiness, so it's a good tradeoff for me. It’s a lot less stressful than dealing with rectal diazepam, which I had to give during a seizure cluster. Consistently, I find that when my daughter has a cluster, the film works quickly and we get back to normal. It gives me the confidence to deal with seizures independently without needing to rush to the hospital every time.

This medication seems like a miracle drug from the posts we're hearing about it. I hope you find the right medication for your niece. It can take some trial and error to find what works best.

Remember, everyone reacts differently to medications. What works for one person might not work for another. Just keep a close eye on any changes in behavior or new symptoms. It's always better to be safe and consult the doctor if something seems off.

My friend's kid was having major issues with seizures. Her doctor even said Libervant might be a solution, but they were reluctant to try it. They ended up on a different medication, but they seem to be doing much better. I hope you can find some peace with this decision.

I've used Libervant for my son and it's been a game-changer. It stops the seizures quickly and the buccal film is so easy to use, even in the middle of a cluster. The only side effect we noticed was some mild drowsiness, but it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind.

Just remember, if you notice any weird symptoms, like confusion, hallucinations, or changes in mood, get medical help ASAP! It's better to be safe.

I had no idea seizures could be treated with a buccal film. Makes sense though, since it dissolves quickly and goes directly into the bloodstream. What are the pros and cons compared to other treatments? Is it really less invasive?

Be careful with the side effects. My daughter had some pretty bad hallucinations after using it for the first time. We had to stop using it because it wasn't worth the risk.
