I've been prescribed Hydrocortisone 0.5% cream with aloe for my eczema, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I've heard it can cause skin thinning and other issues if used for too long. Has anyone had any negative experiences with this cream? How did you handle the side effects, and should I be worried about the long term effects? I'd love to hear your experiences and advice!

Make sure you're using it as directed, and don't be afraid to talk to your doctor if you have any concerns. I've used it for years and never had any issues, but everyone's different.

I've had really good luck with this stuff for insect bites, but I did get a little itchy right after application. My doctor said that was normal, just a reaction to the steroid. As long as that doesn't get worse it should be fine.

I got this crap once when going to dermatologist . One application, couldn't sleep all night, itchy and irritated, next day I looked like I had the chicken pox. I went back to dermatologist and he gave me a different cream, worked just fine.

I've never had any issues with this stuff, just make sure to use it sparingly and not for extended periods. I use it when I get a bad rash or something, and it works wonders for me.

My doctor said that with the added aloe, you should be fine for short-term use, but I wouldn't want to use it every day for weeks on end. I only use it when I get a bad rash or something, and it works wonders for me.

I've been using this for a couple years now for my chronic dermatitis, and the only thing I experience is a little bit of burning or stinging right after I put it on. But It calms my skin down and I'm really happy with it. I've seen way too many people say they didn't use it as directed and got bad side effects though. Be smart, follow the rules and you'll be fine.

I had a pretty bad reaction to this cream. I ended up with skin thinning and stretch marks on my arms. I had to stop using it and switch to a different treatment. Be careful, and make sure you're monitoring your skin for any adverse effects.

I have used this in the past but had a slight burning sensation after I applied it. The doctor said that physical reaction might be normal for some people but if it gets worse or you have any other adverse reactions to report back to him. But otherwise, it should be good to go.

I think it really depends on the individual. My mom used it for psoriasis and she had no issues, but my friend got terrible thinning and had to stop using it. I would recommend talking to your doctor and seeing if there are any other alternatives if you're worried about the side effects.

I've used hydrocortisone cream for years for my dermatitis. It's done wonders for my skin, I've never had any side effects. I did have to use it for a while, but my doctor monitored me closely and I followed instructions carefully. Just make sure you're using it as directed and you should be fine!
