I've been prescribed Brinzolamide 1% Ophthalmic Suspension to manage my eye pressure due to glaucoma. I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else had any serious issues with this medication? I'm curious to know if any of you have experienced anything like changes in eyesight, severe eye irritation, or even more serious allergic reactions. It would be helpful to hear your experiences. I know this is a sulfa drug; are there any additional considerations for those with sulfa allergies? Also, I'd appreciate some tips on dealing with the not so urgent side effects like bad taste in mouth if anyone has them too.

I switched to Brinzolamide from another medication because I was having severe allergic reactions to it. I've been on it for over a year and haven't had any issues so far. I did have a bad taste in my mouth for a while, but it went away after a few weeks. Dont be discouraged if you do get that side effect. It will most likely subside.

I had a really bad experience with it.. I was taking it as a preventative measure. My eyes got really irritated, and I started getting these sores in my mouth. I had to stop taking it and switch to something else. I'd say be cautious and talk to your doctor if you notice anything won't go away.

I had a similar experience. Make sure you follow the directions to a t. It said to not use if you have an eye infection. I didn't, and my eye got really irritated.

I've been using Brinzolamide for a few months now and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of blurred vision at first, but it went away. Definitely keep an eye out for any signs of allergic reactions though, better safe than sorry.

I've been using it for a while and haven't had any issues. Just make sure to use it as directed and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns. I keep a close eye on any rashes. You get panicked when you start seeing something new on your body.

I've heard that some people have issues with this drug because they are allergic to sulfa. What most people don't know is that you can actually take a pain killer to help deal with the side effects. I did this and it helped a lot! Made the other side effects less noticeable.
